Hi everyone! I’m Courtney, stay at home mama to Bailey and Maxwell, wife to Michael! We’ve lived in the Atlanta area for about 15 years and we love it! We live outside of the city so we get the best of both country and city life! I’m so excited to be here sharing a little about myself and my family!
How would you describe the vibe that you have curated at home? Our home vibe is very very relaxed. I try to keep in mind that I have two small kids that always have sticky fingers and snotty noses 😅 think- lots of zip and easy to wash covers on all the surfaces!
Would 11 year old you be surprised to see you being an interiors guru? I’ve always love interior design and decor! I mean, when I was 13 my parents let me choose my paint colors for my room and I chose one hot pink wall, one bright green wall, one yellow, and one orange. If that’s not an interior design guru then I don’t know what is!
What is an under the radar brand or children's item that you wish more mamas could get their hands on? @wunderkin_co is still considered a small business but lately, they have been giving me all the feels with their retro clips and sunnies for kids! I snagged some of both for Bailey but I’ve been stealing the clips from her!!
An ideal date night looks like...An ideal date night is dinner at a new place (I love to try new places and stick to old favorites when we have the kids with us), browsing a plant shop, and scouring a new thrift store!
A few of your favorite items in your home? My French press and Chemex is my #1. I start my day with them every single morning! Some of my other favorites are my diffuser, my bed, and our Beaba baby cook! I can make an entire sweet potato in 5 minutes!!
Favorite way to spend a day off? This one depends on the season, but in the summer I love taking the kids to the splash pad then to grab some ice cream or a snow cone. We always have a blast and then the kids take a killer nap.
What’s on your bedside table? Diffuser and oils, lotion (can’t sleep with dry hands or feet), chapstick, and my phone charger!
Favorite Netflix series? Stranger things!!! I would say this is a show that really surprised me. I’m not into sci-fi at all but this show is so good I binged season 1 and 2 in one day!
Best spot for coffee in your neighborhood? So like I said, I live outside of the city and they aren’t a ton of small locally owned coffee shops (just normal things like Starbucks and Dunkin) BUT we did just get a coffee shop in our town square called East bound and grounds! It’s firefighter and veteran owned and the coffee is so good!
What can we look forward to in 2020 on your grid? The last year I feel like I’ve been stretched thin with my work leaving very little time to contribute to my social media! 2020 you can prepare for all the home and lifestyle spam because I just quit my job and will be resuming full time stay at home mama life! I’m so so excited. And maybe even a puppy, stay tuned!
